Biden: Republicans now 'out of the closet' with their plan to end Medicare

You tell 'em, Joe!

At a fundraiser for Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) in Cleveland on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden used a colorful metaphor to describe Republicans' forthrightness about their plans to cut and phase out entitlements.

"This is not your father's Republican Party," he said. "The Republicans this time are totally, and I don't mean this in a pejorative sense, are out of the closet. They are laying out for thefirst time what they are for and how they think they are going to deal with the problem. That's a debate I can hardly wait for - hopefully with Donald Trump."

Biden also called for ending the Bush-era tax cuts for wealthy. Between that preserving Medicare, Biden is pushing for exactly what the American public says they want in poll after poll.

No doubt Biden's remarks will piss off Republicans who will accuse the administration of playing politics with the GOP plan to get rid of Medicare. But just remember this: in politics, the side that's accusing their opponents of playing political games is usually the side that's losing.
